Stick with Claude when

You want a brilliant generalist assistant for thinking, writing, research, coding, learning, and one-off questions. Claude doesn't need to know your finances to be useful for these — and Anthropic offers strong privacy guarantees on Claude.ai.

Best for

General thinking, writing, coding, ad-hoc finance questions you don't mind explaining the context for every time.

Choose Fingro when

You want Claude-quality reasoning applied to your actual financial life — accounts you've connected, transactions you've made, documents you've uploaded, household members you support, business entities you own — without re-explaining your situation on every prompt.

Best for

Anyone whose financial questions are about their money — not finance in general.

Common Questions

Yes. WelX, Fingro's AI assistant, is built on Anthropic's Claude models, accessed through AWS Bedrock so your data stays inside our private cloud. The difference isn't the model — it's everything wrapped around the model: live financial data, transaction history, household structure, documents, persistent memory, and the calculation engines that produce verified numbers.

For general questions, sure — Claude is excellent for thinking, writing, research, and coding. But Claude.ai doesn't have your accounts, doesn't remember last month's spending, can't see your tax documents, and can't compute your net worth. You can describe your finances to Claude every time, or you can let Fingro hand the right context to the same model on every question.

Both are strong, but they're different shapes of safety. Anthropic does not train on Claude.ai consumer conversations by default. Fingro processes Claude inside our private AWS VPC via Bedrock, encrypted at rest with customer-managed keys, with SOC 2 controls and explicit no-training contracts. The data sits in different places, but the Claude-side guarantees are the same.

Claude.ai is Claude that knows finance in general. Fingro is Claude that knows YOUR finance. Both are useful — they answer different questions.
